     Here are some picture highlights of our fall which included celebrating our little girl's second birthday. I love two year olds, and Juni is a treasure. She hugs me in the morning and says, "I love you, Mommy" (She's talking in full sentences!) and yesterday out of the blue she said, " I like your nose". She has a good eye, since a friend of mine once said that my nose was, "an 8/10"- I do think it one of my best features ;). She's so good for my self-esteem.







Gwen started a new preschool and her teacher and her school are such a good fit for her. She's formed a very strong friendship with a little boy and they play super heros at every opportunity. We're really into graphic novels and comics right now, and it's really fun exploring a genre with her that I'm relatively new to.

We've had a few hikes and adventures, but we have been mostly busy with Gwen's school, swimming lessons, and dance class. Gwen wants to start karate and has shown interest in beginning music. The girls have become really great playmates and divide their time between pretending to be Cheetahs and various Disney characters: Frozen, Moana, and Little Mermaid are their favorites. Gwen loves building and Juni is super into puzzles.



















Have you ever been so stir crazy that you took your kids all the way to Alexandria to see the Rune Stone? I have. It was actually pretty cool. Vikings in MN? If you haven't gone, it is quite the experience.

I hope the fall has been good to all of you and wish you luck in the long winter ahead. Juni seems more fond of snow this year, which is a plus, and although her first snowman is no Olaf, he's a start...

We did a lot this summer...maybe too much, but living in a place where there is so much winter makes cramming in as much as possible during the summer months seem reasonable.  Here are a few picture highlights from our summer adventures both at home and on vacation. This picture of my dad and Juni sums up how they feel about each other.  My Mom's side of the family shares a cabin, and I used to go there a lot when I was a kid, and my mom has been going there since she was born. This year I took the girls up for a couple nights with my mom and dad.  The girls didn't sleep very much, but they got some good sissy bonding time in! Spring 2019

We are off Facebook, and it's good to be free of it, but I still want to share pictures and stories with friends and family. Gwen finished preschool and socially she really blossomed toward the end of the year. She now has a handful of friends and we have playdates. I didn't factor in managing my kids' social lives at the beginning of this parenting adventure, but I know this is a short and sweet phase and I'm trying to enjoy it though you can imagine, if you know me, managing the extra phone calls and emails is challenging for me.  Here's Gwen walking out of school hand in hand with her best friend. We have been spending our time this spring going to the park, hiking, and getting ice cream. Juni has a very special sense of style, and picks out mulitple outfits to wear in a day...
